I was just starting my career when I first heard these memorable words, during a lecture on ADHD given by
Edward Hallowell. Coming out of that conference room in Canada I could not stop thinking about this powerful quote. And indeed it has influenced my practice and research on learning disabilities.
Dr Hallowell is an American psychiatrist who was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia. He is a living example of how children with LD can have a successful life.
